Job Summary
Lead Cook II responsible for preparing, portions, and cooking a variety of items with attention to quality and presentation. Oversees plate presentation and garnishing, assists in supervising line cooks, ensures adherence to standard portion sizes and recipes, and supports opening/closing duties and inventory. Must maintain health and safety standards, work flexible hours (nights, weekends, holidays), and contribute to menu development and banquet events. Requires strong leadership, kitchen operations knowledge, and the ability to work in a high-volume restaurant environment under district health and safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Must be twenty (21) years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
- A degree from a culinary school preferred
- A minimum of two (2) years of progressive experience in kitchen preparation and cooking
- At least six (6) months experience in a similar lead capacity
- Must possess a valid Colorado Driver License or the ability to obtain upon hire
- Knowledge of health standards and ability to communicate effectively
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Ability to provide outstanding customer service and interact professionally with coworkers, patrons, and supervisors
