Job Summary
Lead Cook and Food Service Assistant responsibilities in a not-for-profit senior housing facility: perform all duties in food preparation, provide daily direction to Cooks and other food-service staff, prepare, cook, season and portion meals for patients/residents and staff, adhere to HACCP guidelines, maintain sanitation and storage of food and equipment, label and organize food products, operate kitchen equipment, and ensure high-quality, safe food; strong communication and teamwork skills are required to coordinate with internal customers and adapt to a dynamic culinary environment while following standardized recipes and food-safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- two years experience and previous leadership experience preferred
- Serv Safe may be required to obtain within a designated time frame
