Job Summary
Lead Cook and Food Service Assistant split schedule: cook two days a week and serve as Food Service Assistant three days a week with weekend rotation; responsible for preparing, cooking, seasoning and portioning food for patients/residents, staff, and visitors; ensure adherence to menu, dietary requirements, HACCP guidelines, food quality, sanitation, labeling and proper storage of food and equipment; operates a range of kitchen equipment and maintains safety standards; requires strong communication and teamwork, basic math for measurements, and the ability to follow standardized recipes; leadership responsibilities include directing cooks and other assigned areas to meet departmental standards; shift is Day, 40 hours per week, with a $1000 sign-on bonus; Education: high school diploma or equivalent preferred; experience and ServSafe certification may be required depending on location.
