Job Summary
Lead Cook role focused on overseeing line cooking in a busy restaurant. Responsibilities include creating menus based on season and customer research, setting up the kitchen with necessary tools, preparing dishes with high-quality ingredients, presenting meals appealingly, supervising and delegating tasks to team members, maintaining inventory and restocking as needed, following food safety regulations, participating in opening/closing procedures, and performing additional duties as assigned by the head chef. Strong candidates will demonstrate experience in a similar role, calm under pressure, excellent time management, and the physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds. Certifications such as ServeSafe or Food Handler’s Certification are required.
