Job Summary
Lead Controls Turbine Training Instructor responsible for delivering world-class training to controls-upgrade customers, including customizing training material and simulation software for site-specific applications, coordinating with customers and internal teams, and overseeing equipment health checks, licensing, and shipping. Drives development of training material updates, workshops, and labs; leads technical advising of field services and mobilization for first-of-a-kind controls installations, NPI, and CIRs. Requires mastery of MS Office and SAP, with experience across multiple controls platforms (Mark VIe, EX2100e); nuclear and aero exposure a plus. Travel up to 50% to customer sites (primarily North America). Leads and mentors junior team members, delivers training per contract scope, and contributes to quality improvements through innovative delivery methods (cloud-based VMs, e-learning, AI-assisted training) while ensuring safety policies (HSE, LOTO) are followed. Must have strong customer-facing capabilities and the ability to manage equipment, software licenses, and training materials across global engagements.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in electrical or mechanical engineering from an accredited university
- More than 7 years of experience in Power Plant controls engineering, field services and instruction
- Strong communication skills with passion for training
- Proficiency with Cimplicity, ToolboxST and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle conflicts and pressure
- Role involves 50% travel to customer sites within the North America (mainly the US)
