Job Summary
Interfacing with clients in design meetings and conference calls to define functional requirements and translate them into system configurations. Lead projects with small to medium teams by programming Rockwell and Siemens controllers, designing electrical control cabinets and panels, and testing system configurations. Serve as the technical contact for customers during commissioning, including travel to client sites for meetings and system qualification. Assist the project manager in identifying scope changes and developing change orders while leading less experienced engineers. Requires 2-8 years of automation experience and proficiency in Rockwell platforms or related engineering degrees.
Required Qualifications
- 2-8 years of experience in automation
- As a minimum, must be at least proficient on one or more of the following platforms: Rockwell Controllogix
- As a minimum, must be at least proficient on one or more of the following platforms: Rockwell PlantPAx
- As a minimum, must be at least proficient on one or more of the following platforms: Rockwell FactoryTalk View/Studio
- Thorough understanding of control system design and coding
- Self-motivated
- Excellent communication skills
- B.S. in Electrical, Chemical, or Computer Engineering or Engineering Technology or related degree
Desired Qualifications
- Experience on other control system platforms is a plus.
