Job Summary
Lead control systems projects by defining functional requirements, designing network architectures, and configuring controllers using Rockwell and Siemens platforms. Translate client needs into system configurations, design electrical control cabinets, and program controllers while testing to verify functions. Serve as the technical contact for customers during design meetings and conference calls, leading less experienced engineers and managing scope changes. Travel to client sites for project meetings and system commissioning. Requires 2-8 years of automation experience with a B.S. in engineering.
Required Qualifications
- 2-8 years of experience in automation
- B.S. in Electrical, Chemical, or Computer Engineering or Engineering Technology or related degree
- Thorough understanding of control system design and coding
- Self-motivated
- Excellent communication skills
- Enjoy working with people
- Has a firm competency of one or more control systems platforms or industrial processes
- Adapts to new technologies by applying learned concepts and functionality
- Must be able to travel to client site for project meetings
- Must be able to travel to client site for system commissioning
