Job Summary
Lead building automation projects by providing technical guidance to teams of 2-5 engineers, assigning tasks, and leading customer meetings. Create instrument lists from P&ID drawings, select controls hardware, and compile submittal documentation while creating panel layouts and electrical schematics. Configure user interfaces, DDC, PLC, and DCS algorithms; execute functional and quality control testing; and draft system documentation. Install project software, perform loop checks, calibrate systems, and troubleshoot discrepancies. Train customer representatives on operations and maintenance. Requires a Bachelor's degree, 3+ years of experience, and proficiency in Rockwell, Aveva, or Distech technologies. Base salary ranges from $80,000 to $130,000 with performance bonuses, travel incentives, and a full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) match.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in a technical field or related Technical Degree
- 3+ years of experience in related field/industry
- Controls Experience in at least one of the following: Rockwell: FactoryTalk Suite, RS Logix/Studio 5000, familiarity with PlantPAx DCS
- Aveva System Platform
- Inductive Ignition Perspective
- Distech: Experience with BACnet and LON Distech controllers, Eclypse Controllers
- Johnson Controls: Facility Explorer or Metasys controllers
- Tridium: Niagara N4
- SQL
- Scripting languages (VBA, Python, etc.)
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems in large building automation systems
- Understanding of sequence of operations and P&IDs for HVAC and plant utilities
- Experience with functional testing, including the ability to create, maintain, and execute test plans
- Experience with specifying instrumentation and control valves for HVAC systems
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Kepware OPC server, ThinManager, VMware is preferred
