Job Summary

Support business tendering, operations, and after-sales by preparing responses to client technical queries and resolving customer issues. Lead engineering design reviews to identify project risks and propose safe, reliable, compliant solutions for LCC and VSC HVDC schemes. Conduct dynamic performance studies and other design analyses using offline and online simulation tools. Mentor team members on transferring control and protection designs from MATLAB/Simulink to the PSCAD environment across the full delivery lifecycle, including plant model maintenance, verification, and test harness creation. Ensure project plans contain necessary activities to meet customer requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Engineering degree or equivalent including power systems and power electronics subjects
  • Proven equivalent knowledge and experience in HVDC business
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in creating and presenting technical reports
  • Experience responding to clients' technical questions
  • Competence on functional characteristics of power systems
  • Understanding of interactions between AC and HVDC systems
  • Knowledge of HVDC Control, Protection and Sequencing strategy
  • Experience in PSCAD simulation tools
  • Experience in MATLAB-SIMULINK simulation tools

Desired Qualifications

  • Process improvement or RCA experience or certification
  • Experience working in HVDC industry
