Job Summary
Lead the requirement, design, implementation, and testing of digital control system for HVDC Control & Protection, coordinating across HVDC teams and NPI/ITO/OTR/product care to deliver solutions that meet customer requirements, budgets, and project objectives. Responsibilities include leading IEC61850 IED configuration and system integration, generating SCL files, applying sequencing/interlocking concepts in substation automation, testing and debugging IEC61850 communication with tools like IEDScout and Wireshark, delivering HMI/SCADA solutions, coordinating interfaces with BOP, RTU/BCU/Merging Units, designing LAN architectures, and mentoring department talent while driving process quality and on-time delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Electronics / Electrical engineering or related field
- Advanced background in configuring Substation Bay Controllers/Merging Units/ IEC61850 IED’s / HMI / SCADA technologies
- Hands on experience in control and protection system design
- Knowledge of industrial communication networks such as IEC61850 and Ethernet based protocols
- Control & Protection Relay logics Design techniques
- Experience developing electrical designs for industrial control systems
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices
- Knowledge of Layer2&3 protocols such as IPv4, OSPF, LACP, DMZ, VPN/ DMS/ADMS/ DNP, IEC, Modbus
- Experience with Substation Automation and SCADA
