Job Summary
Lead Control Automation System Engineer responsible for leading requirement, design, implementation, and testing of digital control systems for HVDC Control & Protection, coordinating across multiple engineering disciplines, configuration of IEC61850 IEDs, SCL file generation, RTU/BCU/MA for digital substation environments, LAN/network design, and delivering on time within budget while mentoring team members and promoting standard engineering practices.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Electronics / Electrical engineering or related field
- Advanced background in configuring Substation Bay Controllers/Merging Units/ IEC61850 IED’s / HMI / SCADA technologies
- Hands on experience in control and protection system design
- Knowledge of industrial communication networks such as IEC61850 and Ethernet based protocols
- Control & Protection Relay logics Design techniques
- Experience in developing electrical designs for industrial control systems
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices
- Experience with Layer2&3 protocols (IPv4, OSPF, LACP, DMZ, VPN/ DMS/ ADMS/ DNP, IEC, Modbus)
- Experience in Substation automation engineering
- Working knowledge of SCADA
