Job Summary

Lead, Contract Management for Takeda Oncology (Pricing, Value, and Access contracting) overseeing end-to-end contract lifecycle across health-plan, PBM, GPO, Medicaid, VA Schedule, and other channels. Responsible for drafting/reviewing/negotiating contracts and term sheets, identifying high-risk terms, maintaining contract files, partnering with cross-functional teams (Legal, Finance, Government Pricing, Contract Operations), ensuring compliance and accurate price reporting, and supporting governance committees. Emphasis on negotiation, market access strategy, and ensuring timely, compliant contracting to support oncology access and patient outcomes. Hybrid work arrangement based in Boston, MA.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience in Market Access, contracting, or related field
  • Experience in contract drafting, review, and negotiation within pharmaceutical or managed care context
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical reimbursement environment (managed care, PBM, specialty pharmacy, government contracting)
  • Experience supporting or participating in U.S. product launch activities
  • Oncology experience preferred
  • JD or legal background is a plus
  • Contract Management: independently applies contract management principles across routine and moderately complex situations; understands legal risk and escalates appropriately
  • Negotiation: skilled negotiator for contract negotiations and advising account partners on terms and positioning
  • Analytical Thinking: strong critical thinking and problem-solving; evaluate complex deal structures and risk
  • Communication & Influence: clear, professional verbal and written communication; able to influence in a matrixed environment
  • Stakeholder Orientation: strong service orientation and ability to manage multiple internal/external relationships
  • Integrity & Compliance: uphold ethical standards and compliance with policy and regulations
  • Adaptability: comfortable working across diverse customer segments and priorities
  • Healthcare payer landscape dynamics and regulatory changes knowledge
  • Policy, Process & Market Intelligence capabilities
  • Governance support for Pricing Committee and Contract Governance Committee
  • Support for Business Case process with contract-related analysis
