Job Summary
Lead Consultant in our global M&A Environmental Due Diligence Practice. Conduct Phase I environmental site assessments and limited environmental compliance reviews of industrial facilities, liaise with the transaction team to discuss liabilities, assist clients with post-transaction integration, and support ESG/sustainability improvements. Responsibilities include desktop reviews, site visits, interviews with management, historical site information review, and preparation of Phase I ESA reports per ASTM standards or client-specific formats. Provide general environmental compliance support across hazardous waste, wastewater/stormwater, air emissions, chemical/spill prevention, and Community Right-to-Know regulations; may involve permits transfers and environmental reporting. Travel to facilities (local and non-local) is expected. Contribute to multiple projects, ensure high-quality deliverables, assist in the development of junior team members, participate in proposals and cost estimates, and support a collaborative, inclusive work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum B.S. degree in civil, environmental, or chemical engineering or B.S./B.A. in environmental science, geology, chemistry, physics, or biology
- 5+ years of experience performing Phase I ESAs and environmental compliance reviews for industrial facilities
- Ability to travel on short business trips (local or throughout the USA)
- Driver’s license and ability to travel by air
- Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to distill complex EHS or technical issues for clients
- Capability to work in fast-paced transactional environments and contribute to proposals and cost estimates
- Willingness to mentor junior team members and contribute to project delivery
- Ability to work in a hybrid role in the Dublin, OH office
- Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
