Job Summary
Lead Construction Specialist for the East River Tunnel Rehabilitation Project responsible for executing all aspects of construction project management, coordinating with contractors and consultants, reviewing and ensuring compliance with safety plans and project requirements, coordinating outages and field activities, and delivering updates to the project manager. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 6+ years of relevant experience (8+ preferred), with CCM or PMP certification preferred and strong leadership, communication, and scheduling skills. Approximately 50% of work hours may involve overnight and weekend work. Salary range $94,300–$122,256 annually; onsite work arrangement with relocation not offered.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent combination of training, education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- 6 years of prior relevant experience required
- Preferred: CCM or PMP certification
- Demonstrated construction experience in a railroad environment
- Ability to work effectively with third party contractors, construction management consultants and Amtrak operating departments
