Job Summary
Lead Construction Estimator to support preconstruction and estimating efforts for large-scale commercial projects nationwide, focusing on healthcare facilities, mission critical environments, and data centers. Responsibilities include leading estimating and preconstruction activities, developing conceptual through GMP estimates, preparing detailed cost estimates and bid packages, coordinating subcontractor bidding and pricing analysis, conducting cost budgeting and risk assessments, leading value engineering, and supporting client presentations and contract negotiations. Requires 7+ years in construction, 3+ years in preconstruction/estimating, and strong collaboration with design, engineering, operations, supply chain, and finance teams.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in the construction industry
- 3+ years of experience in preconstruction and estimating
- Experience estimating commercial construction projects within healthcare, mission critical, and/or data center environments
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials, building systems, and project cost structures
- Experience managing subcontractor bidding, scope review, and pricing analysis
- Experience coordinating with operations, design, engineering, and project management teams
- Proficiency with estimating, scheduling, and construction project management software
- Experience preparing conceptual and detailed construction estimates
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience supporting client-facing meetings and presentations
