Job Summary
Lead Concessions Worker at Covey Center for the Arts (Provo City) handling concessions sales before, during, and after performances. Responsibilities include selling concessions, processing food and beverage orders (in-person and future online), cleaning the concessions area and theater after performances, scheduling concessions staff, ordering concessions products, counting money and balancing daily deposits, interacting with the public in a friendly manner, collaborating with staff, handling occasional stressful situations, and performing minor lifting (up to 25 lbs) and custodial tasks. The role requires 16+ years old, basic computer knowledge, cash-handling experience, public-facing experience, and physical ability for the duties, with hours aligned to performances (generally evenings and some matinee times), approx. 20 hours per week, and potential drug screening/background checks as part of the selection process. Required Qualifications
- Must be 16 years or older at the time of hire
- Working knowledge of computers
- Six months of experience working with cash-handling and/or cashiering
- Experience working with the public
- Must have the physical strength and agility to perform the work
