Job Summary
Lead Compliance Specialist responsible for ensuring debt collection operations stay in full compliance with FDCPA, Regulation F, FCRA, and UDAAP; conduct audits, draft regulatory responses, deliver staff training, mentor junior staff, monitor regulatory developments, and coordinate with management and legal counsel. Requires 2+ years in compliance-related roles, knowledge of key regulations, experience with compliance audits and regulatory responses, strong written communication, and ability to work independently. Preferred credentials include CRCP or ACA International certification and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Paralegal Studies, Finance, or related field.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years in compliance, quality assurance, or a closely related role within debt collection or regulated financial services
- Working knowledge of FDCPA, Regulation F, FCRA, UDAAP, SCRA, and GLBA
- Experience conducting compliance audits and drafting regulatory or consumer complaint responses
- Strong written communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and meet deadlines
