Job Summary

Lead Compliance Engineer responsible for shaping the design, development, and sustaining of water-quality instrument compliance. Translate compliance strategy into product deliverables, oversee EMC/EMI testing, evaluate changes for sustaining compliance, coordinate with notified bodies and external labs, prepare and review technical files and declarations of conformity, and lead cross-functional reviews while mentoring engineers on product compliance topics. Role located in Loveland, CO onsite; requires deep expertise across safety, EMC/EMI, RF/wireless, battery, laser/LED, and environmental compliance for instrumentation, with hands-on testing, risk assessment, and audit readiness.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in product compliance, or EMC engineering, preferably in instrumentation, electronics, medical devices, or industrial products
  • Specialization in two or more of the following areas: Product EMC standards certification and testing of electrical instrumentation; Product safety standards and certification and testing of electrical instrumentation; FCC/IC radio/wireless standards and certification; Battery standards and certification; RF Design; Hazardous Locations (and ATEX) design certification of electrical instrumentation; Laser standards and CDRH certification; Environmental compliance (green) standards of electrical instrumentation
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with EMC/EMI testing and failure resolution
  • Experience with third-party labs and certification bodies
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or similar quality systems
  • Experience with analytical or industrial instrumentation products
  • Experience with wireless modules, lasers, LEDs, or battery systems
  • Specialization in multiple product compliance domains (e.g., Safety, EMC, RF, ATEX, Environmental compliance)
