Job Summary
Analyze community bases across multiple programs to develop meaningful audience segments and identify high-potential groups for activation. Build a core engaged community by nurturing champions and creating pathways for involvement beyond events, such as mentoring and speaking. Activate the community as an organizational asset by collaborating with External Affairs to support recruitment, fundraising, and thought leadership. Manage engagement channels like newsletters and Slack while developing journeys that deepen long-term relationships. This remote-first role sits at the intersection of community strategy and experience design, connecting participants to broader organizational priorities including employer engagement and storytelling.
Required Qualifications
- At least four years of experience building, managing, and growing communities
- demonstrated ability to develop strategies that move groups from loose networks to active, connected communities
- A community-first mindset grounded in curiosity and empathy
- ability to understand what different audiences value and translate those insights into meaningful engagement opportunities
- Strong experience designing and delivering engaging in-person and virtual sessions, events, and community experiences
- understanding of adult learning and participant experience principles
- The ability to independently lead multiple projects from idea through delivery and evaluation
- collaborating effectively with learning, logistics, program, and cross-functional teams
- proactive, solutions-oriented approach
- experience using community or CRM tools such as HubSpot
- professional proficiency in written and spoken English
