Job Summary
Manage controls and instrumentation activities on-site during installation, commissioning, and maintenance of upgrade or new projects, overseeing diagnostics for systems like Mark V, Cimplicity, and HMIs. Provide technical direction on OEM products, troubleshoot hardware and software, and modify control constants and sequencing. Coordinate labor, tools, and materials to meet contractual requirements while preparing field service reports and maintaining accurate timesheets. Ensure all activities comply with EHS guidelines and drive customer satisfaction through quality commitments. This role requires frequent travel (75%), potential offshore work, and availability for holidays and overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or relevant discipline from an accredited university or related field
- Advanced years of experience with GE Controls systems (Mark V or Mark VI or Mark VIe)
- Strong knowledge of turbines, generators, control panels, PLCs, and field instrumentation
- Hands-on experience with field tools and reading technical drawings (P&ID, wiring diagrams)
- Fluent in English and Arabic
- Valid driver's license
- Passport
- Willingness to travel frequently 75%
- Willingness to work offshore
- Willingness to work overtime as required

- Knowledge and skill to actively support an outage
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Take ownership of onsite activities
- Willing to travel, in country and worldwide, and to work over-time
- Experienced successful installations and outages
- Familiar with Instruments and controls and PLCs for controls training
- Familiarity with computer network systems & switches
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
