Job Summary
Lead Commercial Lines Underwriter responsible for underwriting high-exposure Commercial Lines accounts within highest delegated authority, serving as a technical resource, shaping underwriting strategy, and leading in underwriting policy, guideline development, and quality oversight. Provides mentorship to underwriting staff, assists in training, coaching, and collaboration with Directors and leadership, and leads the quality control program. Requires regular in-person, on-site interaction in Bennington, VT; hybrid work environment with in-office Tuesdays–Thursdays and remote Mondays and Fridays. 5+ years of progressive commercial underwriting experience and a Bachelor's degree are preferred; CPCU strongly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 5+ years of progressive commercial underwriting experience in underwriting property and casualty insurance
- Professional designations such as CPCU preferred
