Job Summary
Diagnose, assess, and troubleshoot various types of HVAC equipment, including Chillers, Boilers, Air Handlers, large Rooftop Units, Split Systems, Water-Source Heat Pumps, Pumps, and miscellaneous plant equipment. Perform disassembly and reassembly of commercial HVAC systems for troubleshooting and planned maintenance under service agreements. Read electrical wiring diagrams and blueprints while operating safely on roofs, in mechanical rooms, and on ladders in accordance with OSHA regulations. Requires 5+ years of commercial HVAC experience and ability to handle equipment over 20 tons. Base salary $35.00–$55.00/hour with health insurance, 401k, and PTO.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience as a commercial HVAC installer or related position
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to diagnose/repair/replace components on equipment greater than 20-tons
- Diagnose, assess, and troubleshoot various types of HVAC equipment, including but not limited to Chillers, Boilers, Air Handlers, large (over 20 ton) Rooftop Units, Split Systems, Water-Source Heat Pumps, Pumps and miscellaneous plant equipment
- Performs disassembly and reassembly of large or small commercial HVAC equipment to perform troubleshooting and planned maintenance as indicated in the service agreement
- Basic PC skills (Microsoft Office Suite, etc.)
- Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and blueprints
- General understanding of test and balance
- Working conditions include being on a roof or in a mechanical room for extended periods of time
- Working on ladders and carrying tools and sometimes heavy equipment
- Operating in a safe manner according to all OSHA regulations
- Wearing proper personal protective gear
Desired Qualifications
- HVAC certification or relevant trade school education preferred but not required
