Job Summary
Lead Commercial HVAC Installer responsible for directing installation of complex commercial HVAC systems, including Air Handlers, Roof Top Units, Chillers, boilers, and related piping, wiring, and controls. Hires, trains, and supervises Mechanics and Helpers, coordinates with Project Manager, ensures work complies with codes and plans, orders materials, and supervises subcontractors and site inspections. Requires EPA certification preferred, valid NC driver’s license, ability to pass background/drug screenings, leadership and communication skills, physical ability to lift heavy objects, and willingness to work Monday–Friday with on-call rotation. On-site supervision at Raleigh, NC area projects; travel to job sites as needed; Temp-To-Hire with starting pay $28-$38 per hour DOE; company vehicle provided.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NC driver's license with clean driving record
- Must be able to pass background check and drug screening
- EPA Certification Preferred
- Must know construction techniques
- Must have experience supervising others
- Must be able to make decisions at job sites
- Must display leadership qualities when working with a helper
- Must show tact and diplomacy with customers
- Must be over 18 years old
- Must be able to lift up to 150 pounds
- Must be able to read and interpret plans and specifications
- Must be able to travel to job sites as needed
