Job Summary
Lead all daily on-site construction activities from project start through completion, managing subcontractors, vendors, and site logistics while maintaining short-interval production schedules. Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and according to quality standards by enforcing OSHA policies, promoting safety culture, and monitoring workmanship against project specifications. Collaborate with Project Managers, engineers, architects, and owners to conduct meetings, communicate updates, and resolve challenges, providing direction to field personnel on both new construction and renovation projects. Requires 7+ years of experience in healthcare, K-12, or institutional environments. Full-time on-site role in Asheville, NC with a salary of $110,000–$140,000.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent leading commercial construction projects
- Proven experience managing commercial construction projects
- Experience managing commercial construction projects in healthcare
- Experience managing commercial construction projects in K-12 education
- Experience managing commercial construction projects in higher education
- Experience managing commercial construction projects in institutional construction
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, and field operations
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience managing subcontractors and field teams
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple project priorities
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Construction Manager At Risk (CMAR) project delivery
- Experience managing complex renovation and new construction projects
- Familiarity with construction management software and scheduling tools
- Strong understanding of commercial building codes and safety regulations
