Job Summary
Lead heat balance modeling and performance optimization for gas-fired combined-cycle projects; develop heat/mass balances, correction curves, and system integration concepts for decarbonization (hydrogen pre-combustion and carbon capture); provide technical leadership on plant performance and bottoming-cycle design; design components (pumps, control valves, heat exchangers, HRSG) based on process data; deliver heat & mass balance diagrams and performance curves for customer projects and R&D; collaborate with global engineering teams to ensure successful project execution; drive standards, technical harmonization, and process improvements; actively manage technical risks and improve workflows.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge in thermodynamics and plant equipment process design
- Advanced experience in Engineering/Technology & Process Engineering
- Knowledge level comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience)
- Experience with system engineering for core combined cycle plant equipment
- Ability to deliver heat & mass balance diagrams and performance correction curves for projects
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary global engineering teams
- Ability to identify and develop plant integration concepts for cleaner energy
- Experience in managing technical project risks related to plant design and performance
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Familiarity with process integration and simulation tools (e.g. Ebsilon, Thermoflow, Gatecycle)
- Understanding of process flow diagrams and plant operational concepts
