Job Summary
Lead Combined Cycle Application Engineer role responsible for providing heat balance diagrams, functional specifications for main plant mechanical equipment, and plant performance predictions with correction curves for worldwide tender and execution projects. Defines system integration concepts to support decarbonization solutions (pre-combustion hydrogen and post-combustion carbon capture). Offers technical expertise on plant performance and bottoming cycle design; collaborates with global engineering teams to ensure successful project execution; delivers heat/mass balance diagrams and performance curves for customer and development projects; develops plant integration concepts for a cleaner energy future; documents technical data per contract and policies; active participant in technical risk management and continuous process improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge in thermodynamics and plant equipment process design
- Advanced experience in Engineering/Technology & Process Engineering; knowledge level comparable to a Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field
- Proven capabilities in combined cycle performance/optimization and process integration
- Experience with gas turbines, combined cycle, and steam turbine products
- Experience with process integration and simulation tools (e.g. Ebsilon, Thermoflow, GateCycle, Aspen)
- Strong communication, interpersonal and teaming skills; ability to coordinate multiple projects
- Ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems; design creativity and system-level thinking
