Job Summary
Confer with customers by telephone or in person to determine reasons for overdue payments and review sales, service, or credit contract terms. Compile and maintain credit information regarding customer financial status and collection effort progress. Review and monitor credit sources, files, and delinquent accounts while submitting adjustments and write-offs to management per policy. Serve as a mentor and trainer for junior team members, troubleshooting complex operational problems and developing customized solutions. Provide oversight for day-to-day team activities under limited supervision. Requires 7+ years of experience in collections with supervisory skills preferred. Located in a comfortable indoor environment with occasional light lifting.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in area of responsibility
- Technical certification or associate degree
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years progressively responsible credit and collections experience
- Supervisory experience
- Familiarity with accounting principles and practical application within the collection environment
