Job Summary
Lead Cloud Development Engineer to design, build, and enhance secure, scalable public cloud solutions using DevSecOps best practices with AWS and Terraform Enterprise. Lead engineering efforts across a primarily AWS-based environment, support Azure capabilities, design cloud landing zones that enable governance, security, and operational readiness, and drive cloud networking solutions including connectivity, segmentation, and foundational platform design. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers to grow cloud engineering capabilities and ensure secure, automated deployments. Hybrid onsite/remote arrangement in Chennai with 3 days on site and 2 days remote.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 6 years of related experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure automation, or DevSecOps roles
- Hands-on experience with AWS and working knowledge of Azure services
- Strong experience with infrastructure as code, including Terraform and Terraform Enterprise (TFE)
- Experience implementing DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, policy enforcement, and automated controls
- Knowledge of cloud landing zones, IAM, governance guardrails, and cloud networking concepts (VPC/VNet)
- Proficiency in scripting/automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and collaborate across teams
- Current cloud certification in AWS or equivalent (required)
- Preferred: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, Azure Administrator Associate/DevOps Engineer Expert, HashiCorp Terraform certification
