Job Summary
Lead Cloud Architect responsible for assessing the current migration state, owning the target architecture, and driving delivery through to completion. Engage as the senior technical voice, bridge domain knowledge and AWS skills gaps within the client team, challenge existing approaches, and build confidence in the path forward. Focus areas include current state architecture, data flows, technical debt, blockers (technical and organizational), and defining the target architecture through to delivery. Requires experience with AWS data platforms (S3, Glue, Lake Formation, Redshift, EKS), lakehouse architecture, and regulated industries (betting/gaming). The role is hybrid with 2-3 days per week in Manchester, UK, with flexible working options including remote. Strong communication skills and ability to operate in politically complex, fractured team environments are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Regulated industry experience — essential; betting and gaming - Required
- Strong communicator — able to deliver difficult messages to technical and non-technical stakeholders
