Lead Clinical Laboratory Scientist, Full Time, Day Shift

Job Summary
Oversee all laboratory testing and coordinate point of care testing while reviewing test result validity and accuracy. Establish test performance characteristics, evaluate new instrumentation, and act as a liaison to other medical center departments. Manage staffing, conduct training programs for medical technicians and students, and resolve employee complaints. Coordinate equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration to ensure proper working order. Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies including CLIA, FDA, CAP, Joint Commission, and OSHA by managing quality control, quality assurance, and preventive maintenance activities. Maintain sectional quality control records and initiate QA reports for laboratory findings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, biological sciences, chemical sciences or allied health technologies
- Valid Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license in state of employment
- Five years' clinical laboratory experience
- Two years' leadership experience
- Current certification from American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or National Credentialing Agency for Labs (NCA)
- All required vaccinations
