Job Summary
Lead, Clinical Innovation role combining clinical expertise with product and digital health strategy to enrich Samsung Health’s R&D roadmap. A practicing physician will provide clinical insights across early research to late development, support de novo project generation, SaMD feature design and portfolio prioritization, inform study design (including IRB processes and medical monitoring), and guide evidence generation across research, development, and commercial teams. The position emphasizes collaboration with biosensors, algorithms, and cross-functional partners to maximize clinical utility and health benefits, while evangelizing Samsung’s digital health research externally and engaging with startups and university centers to advance industry-academia collaboration. Requires advanced medical degree (MD/PhD) with extensive experience in clinical research and product innovation in digital health, plus a track record of leadership across Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Clinical teams.
Required Qualifications
- PhD/MD and extensive experience in clinical research and product innovation in digital health, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- 16+ years combined clinical practice and device/digital health work experience
- MD with expertise in technical innovation and data science
- Experience building or deploying products within healthcare, digital health, or consumer health applications
- Excellent understanding of human physiology in conditions across health and wellness with focus on lifestyle and preventative medicine
- Experience working with or advising digital health focused startups
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills across Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Clinical teams
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
