Job Summary
Collect inputs for project details from clients and vendors, then prepare civil and structural deliverables including buildings, gantries, equipment structures, drainage systems, roads, and cable trenches. Review design drawings and calculations by engineers and draughtspersons, obtain client approvals, and submit man-hour requirements to the contracts team. Coordinate with multiple disciplines for inter-departmental checks, clarify design conflicts to the site execution team, and evaluate vendor pre-award submissions against technical specifications. Lead a team of engineers and draftspersons to manage engineering activities within budget while ensuring timely submission of deliverables to clients across the full project lifecycle from pre-bid to warranty.
Required Qualifications
- B.E. / B. Tech. / M. Tech. in Civil Engineering
- 8 – 10 years (Experience in Civil & structural design aspects in Substation / Power Distribution Projects)
- overall knowledge of RCC & Steel Structures
- knowledge of Outdoor Gantry & equipment Structures
- knowledge of Transformers
- knowledge of Site grading
- knowledge of other outdoor services like drainage system, roads, cable trenches, etc.
- detailed knowledge of Substation equipment and their Layouts
- basic and detailed understanding of civil & structural drawings
- basic and detailed understanding of GA drawings of equipment & gantry towers
- basic and detailed understanding of foundation for transformers & other electrical equipment in Substation & Transmission Lines
- hands on experience of design Software viz. STAAD Pro., ETABs, AUTOCAD, REVITT & TEKLA
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in design engineering for AIS/GIS Substation upto 400 KV
