Job Summary
Lead Civil Engineer in Aurecon's Energy & Industrial team focused on major HV infrastructure projects across Australia (substations, BESS, solar and wind). Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and deliver concept and detailed civil designs, including earthworks, roads, drainage, foundations and layouts. Develop and review civil designs, reports, technical specs, and modelling (Civil3D/12D); participate in design and construction review; ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements; liaise with clients, contractors and stakeholders; drive digital engineering initiatives and innovation within the team. Requires a minimum Australian-recognised Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with 5+ years of energy sector experience and knowledge of substations, transmission, and distribution projects; NSW experience preferred and professional registrations are desirable.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Australian recognised Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional registrations such as CPEng, NER, RPEQ or equivalent is desirable
- Minimum 5+ years of design experience in the energy (power utility) sector
- Experience on substations, transmission and distribution projects preferred
- Strong proficiency with civil modelling/design software (e.g., Civil 3D/12D)
