Job Summary
Lead concept and detailed design assurance for civil and structural engineering projects by reviewing specifications, drawings, and documentation to ensure alignment with standards. Manage technical queries and Requests for Information (RFIs) while overseeing engineering support, optioneering, and design development across construction, commissioning, and decommissioning phases. Supervise contractor methodologies and resolve uncertainties to maintain project progress and compliance with regulatory, quality, safety, and environmental requirements. Provide technical oversight and lead risk identification within the design lifecycle, supporting stakeholders and contributing to team development. Requires SC Clearance and a Chartered Engineer status. Hybrid schedule (3 days on-site).
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience leading civil/structural engineering delivery and design assurance on complex projects
- Strong track record in engineering lifecycle management and stakeholder engagement across project phases
- Experience within the civil engineering sector
- Degree-qualified in a relevant STEM discipline
- Chartered Engineer status
- Location Devonport - the role is Hybrid where 3 days per week will be spent on site
- SC Clearance
