Job Summary
Lead Chronic Care Physician provides direct patient care to jail inmates under the supervision of the Medical Director for Corrections, with responsibilities including medical oversight, participation in quality improvement programs, and management of specialized health care programs for Jail Health Services. The role supervises and leads the chronic care providers team to ensure smooth clinic flow, conducts training for providers and mid-level staff, develops and evaluates treatment guidelines, ensures compliance with NCCHC standards, coordinates provider schedules, and contributes to staffing and evaluation processes.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited medical school
- Valid license to practice in Washington, DC
- Current DEA registration and CDS certificate
- Board certified in internal medicine
