Job Summary
Administer all prescribed medications and treatments per the Medication Administration Record, counting and signing narcotics while verifying supplies against pharmacy labels. Provide personal care including bathing, skin care, and oral hygiene, alongside general nursing duties such as monitoring vital signs and weights. Supervise self-administered medication for the Assisted Living Department, ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and company guidelines. Maintain accurate medical records for new and readmitted residents, removing discontinued drugs and conducting weekly med cart inspections. Answer resident calls, assist with activities of daily living, and direct other clinical staff as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Current Medication Technician certification depending on state regulations
- Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond and communicate to emergency situations
- Basic computer proficiency to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
- Superior time management skills
- Strong team player and a passion for helping seniors
- A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1+ months of experience
- Senior Living preferred
