Job Summary
Conduct advanced clinical support and assist with complex patient care tasks, including obtaining vital signs, administering medications, performing point-of-care testing, and collecting lab specimens. Serve as a resource for medical assistants and providers by answering procedural questions, ensuring compliance with clinical protocols, and supporting specialized procedures. Maintain accurate EHR documentation, oversee supply management, and monitor infection control standards while troubleshooting workflow challenges to enhance clinic efficiency. Provide training and onboarding for new staff, guide complex scheduling needs, and collaborate with leadership to resolve operational issues. Requires Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification plus BCLS. Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, with demonstrated proficiency in complex clinical tasks required
- Advanced knowledge of clinical workflows, medical procedures, and outpatient clinic operations
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and documentation best practices
- Strong understanding of infection control, patient safety, and HIPAA regulations
- Ability to assist with training and provide guidance on complex clinical processes
- Problem-solving skills to identify workflow inefficiencies and propose improvements
- Strong attention to detail in patient care, documentation, and compliance monitoring
- Effective communication skills to interact with providers, patients, and clinic staff
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA required or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)-NCTT required or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)-American Medical Technologists required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support required
