Job Summary
Oversee front-end operations by supervising, training, and motivating cashier and courtesy clerk teams to deliver outstanding service. Manage daily tasks including running breaks, processing transactions, handling returns, and ensuring accurate cash handling. Address customer inquiries promptly, assist with stocking products and maintaining shelf label accuracy, and keep the front-end area clean and organized. Enforce safety and security protocols while collaborating with other departments to support store-wide initiatives. Requires prior cashier experience, strong leadership skills, and flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior experience as a cashier
- Supervisory experience
- Strong leadership, organization, and time-management abilities
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable using Word, Excel, Outlook, POS systems
- Excellent math skills
- Ability to use data to drive staffing and sales
- Ability to lift/move grocery and bulk items up to 50 lbs
- Ability to lift/move items up to 100 times/day
- Ability to handle carts, dollies, and electric pallet jacks
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and twist frequently
- Flexibility to work various shifts mornings, evenings, weekends
