Job Summary
Establish fleet-wide population health initiatives focused on chronic disease prevention, wellness, and preventive care strategies. Lead, mentor, and manage the Manila-based wellness nursing team while monitoring population health trends through data analytics and reporting quarterly insights to executive leadership. Identify crew members at elevated risk for medical debarkation, coordinate timely escalations with Medical Operations, and develop standard operating procedures for disease prevention programs. Partner with Clinical Operations, Medical Operations, and Human Resources to ensure integrated care delivery and compliance with healthcare regulations. Based in Miami with 10-15% domestic and international travel, this role supports the organization's global health strategy to optimize crew outcomes and advance safe, sustainable maritime operations.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in case management, population health, wellness, disease management, occupational health, or a related clinical field
- Minimum of three (3) years of leadership or people management experience
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing wellness, preventive health, or chronic disease management programs
- Strong clinical judgment with the ability to assess complex medical situations and determine appropriate interventions
- Experience analyzing healthcare data, developing clinical metrics, and evaluating program outcomes
- Strong knowledge of preventive health, chronic disease management, health promotion, and population health principles
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
- The position is onsite and based in Miami, Florida
- The position is also not eligible for work authorization sponsorship
- Domestic and international travel (approximately 10-15%)
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in Case Management (CCM), Population Health, Public Health, Occupational Health, or Wellness Coaching
- Experience supporting maritime, travel, occupational, or international workforce populations
- Bilingual or multilingual capabilities; proficiency in a second language is strongly preferred
- Experience managing remote or globally distributed healthcare teams
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with electronic health records and case management systems
- Working knowledge of systems such as PeopleSoft, AIRTS, RMIS, SeaCare, and other healthcare information systems preferred
