Lead Capital Project Manager (m/f/d)

Job Summary
Lead end-to-end execution of capital projects ranging from $5M to $50M, coordinating the overall site portfolio from concept through commissioning and handover. Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and resources while driving engineering design, procurement, construction, and start-up activities. Partner with business, operations, engineering, and finance teams to align objectives with priorities and ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. Lead multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and external partners to mitigate risks and maximize investment value. Based onsite in Niebüll, Germany, this role requires fluent German and English skills, a Bachelor's or Master's in relevant engineering fields, and PMP certification or equivalent.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering or Food/Process Engineering
- Extensive experience managing capital projects within manufacturing, industrial, chemical, food, or related environments
- Proven success delivering large-scale capital projects with responsibility for cost, schedule, safety, and quality performance
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and stage-gate capital project processes
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with diverse stakeholders
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
- Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management qualification
- Experience delivering both brownfield and greenfield manufacturing projects
- Experience working in multinational and matrix organizations
