Job Summary
Lead Camp Counselor for Sports-focused activities. Manage groups of campers, ensure safety, and facilitate a day filled with age-appropriate activities (including fishing, art, physical education, and special events). Role requires supervising campers during activities, assisting with meals, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting staff training. Emphasizes diversity, positive relationships, and community involvement; expect collaboration with directors and other staff, participation in staff meetings, and potential CPR/First Aid/Lifeguard training depending on location.
Required Qualifications
- At least 16 years of age; 16- and 17-year-olds must have valid Working Papers.
- Minimum one-year experience working with youth preferred, preferably in an organized program setting.
- Reliable means of transportation to and from the Camp.
- Excellent interpersonal and human relations skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong multi-tasking, time management, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic personality.
