Job Summary
This position involves supervising and executing assigned audits and strategic initiatives, ensuring quality and appropriateness of audit scopes, and tracking issues to resolution. Key responsibilities include developing audit plans, identifying and documenting control issues, monitoring performance of deficient processes, preparing formal reports, and offering recommendations on internal controls. The role requires building relationships with management, demonstrating customer focus, adaptability, and critical thinking, alongside leading the internal audit function and delivering audit engagements. Ideal candidates will possess strong audit experience, relevant qualifications such as CPA or CIA, and an understanding of insurance industry practices.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Bachelor degree preferred or relevant experience in lieu of degree
- 5 + years of Internal or External Audit Experience or equivalent leadership experience
- Requires knowledge of sound business practices
- Requires knowledge of accounting or technology practices
- Prefer knowledge of the insurance industry
- Prefers knowledge of insurance-related regulatory environment
