Job Summary
Lead Business Analyst for FICC IT, serving as a liaison between FICC stakeholders and IT to analyze and implement technology solutions. Responsibilities include gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements; performing gap analyses between current and future state processes and technology; coordinating with development managers to design and review technical solutions; adopting new technologies and frameworks; supporting project managers with reliable estimates and early issue alerts; enforcing version control, CI, and release management processes; maintaining design, support, user manuals, and operation procedures; ensuring code is thoroughly unit-tested and validated before QA/UAT; coordinating with production support on releases and issue management. Requires a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related IT discipline and 8-10 years of experience; Java 8+, Python 3, Spring/Vertx, Agile, and familiarity with Bloomberg/Reuters APIs are preferred; English communication is essential with Mandarin as a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering or an IT related discipline
- 8-10 years of relevant experience in FICC asset classes is advantageous
- Development skills in Java 8 or later, Python 3
- Experience with one or more Java frameworks (Spring/Vertx)
- Experience with unit testing frameworks and best practices
- Experience with financial market data APIs (Bloomberg/Reuters)
- Familiarity with Agile development artifacts and practices
- Strong communication skills in English; Mandarin Chinese is an advantage
