Job Summary
Lead Business Analyst (Contract) responsible for capture, verify, and manage requirements and requirements traceability in support of product development, testing and delivery. Develop requirements, workflow and system analysis; work with business stakeholders to develop software requirements and specifications for current system enhancements, new functionality, and projects for customers. Analyze and evaluate computer systems to satisfy business requirements; establish functional and non-functional and performance specifications; develop guidelines and ensure documentation meets standards; conduct business and technical presentations for customers; provide innovative solutions to complex problems. Collaborate with developers and QA to ensure requirements are met and enhance functionality; interact with government clients to meet technical requirements for new initiatives; maintain system and process documentation, user guides, ER diagrams, and SOPs; perform backup support as needed. Minimum education: Bachelor's degree in IT or related field. 11+ years of experience in BA/requirements analysis, Agile/SCRUM SDLC, and stakeholder communications. Proficiency with Visio, Contour or Jira, MS Office, and ability to develop Release Notes and user guides. The role involves preparing process diagrams, SOPs, and technical documentation, and interfacing with a range of stakeholders to deliver high-quality IT services for government-related programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in software requirements analysis and documentation
- Experience in requirements identification, use case and scenario capture, and development of visual tools and presentations
- Experience with Agile and SDLC methodologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to facilitate meetings and elicit requirements
- Experience with modeling tools such as Visio, and requirements management tools such as Contour or Jira
- Experience collaborating with developers, QA, and client stakeholders
- Experience creating system and user documentation and release notes
- Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and presentation skills
- Knowledge of government policies and regulations related to programs
- Ability to design process diagrams and SOPs
- Experience with process analysis and workflow design
- Experience in a client-facing role and working with multiple management levels
