Job Summary
Conduct preventative maintenance and corrective repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire/life safety, steam, elevator, and related building systems. Perform general building repairs including fixtures, appliances, drywall, carpentry, and electrical components while inspecting systems regularly to document findings in operation logs and inspection reports. Respond promptly to tenant service requests and work orders, operating hand and power tools safely in accordance with company guidelines. Demonstrate full competency in emergency procedures, including assisting with evacuations and responding to life safety system alarms, while participating in the on-call schedule for after-hours emergencies. Maintain compliance with all applicable safety regulations, building codes, and company policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of four (4) years of related maintenance experience and/or trade school training
- Working knowledge of commercial plant equipment including elevators, chillers, and boilers
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, drywall repair, and carpentry
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Proficiency with testing equipment such as analog and digital multimeters, pressure and temperature monitoring devices
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
- Participate in the on-call schedule and respond to after-hours emergencies as required
