Job Summary
Perform building operations, customer service, and community enhancement by completing electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, and heating tasks within commercial buildings. Daily duties include working with property management to perform preventive maintenance, respond to service tickets, and provide a safe environment for tenants. Conduct building and systems inspections, make necessary modifications, and complete preventive and corrective maintenance requests. Collaborate with vendors on contracted work orders, maintain records and evaluations, and identify parts and materials needed. Manage Building Management and Energy Management systems as directed, keep engineering shops clean, and follow all safety rules. Occasional overtime is required for off-hours repairs.
Required Qualifications
- 3 - 5 years maintaining equipment and systems in commercial buildings
- demonstrated high-level mechanical skills and abilities with HVAC equipment
- High-level experience and skills in operating, troubleshooting, maintaining, installing, and repairing equipment
- Basic technology skills necessary to manage work order applications on mobile phone and learn to operate Building Automation Systems
- High School diploma or equivalent
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- Occasionally work overtime to perform necessary repairs or maintenance that are necessary to complete during off-hours
- Must meet the occupation requirements, such as lifting 50 lbs., walking distances, kneeling for 1 hour, and climbing ladders
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must possess a CFC Universal certification
