Job Summary
Conduct daily inspections and walk downs of industrial machinery, utilizing hand and power tools to identify mechanical concerns and design issues. Report findings to supervisors and communicate items of concern clearly to co-workers and management. Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations while managing time effectively to complete required tasks. Requires reliable transportation and strong manual dexterity. Former Zachry employees are valued, though vocational training or on-the-job experience is preferred. This role supports Zachry's core values and operational safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Proficient mechanical skills
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Able to communicate items of concern found during inspections and walk downs
- Knowledge of industrial machinery and equipment
- Organization and time management
- Must have good aptitude and manual dexterity
- Good reading comprehension
- Ability to work with others – team player
- Good communication skills with co-workers and supervisors
- Commitment to Zachry values and safety rules and regulations
- Must have experience using industrial hand tools and power tools
- Must have reliable transportation
- Knowledge of safety practices to operated equipment
