Job Summary
Lead technician responsible for receiving, processing, packing, and shipping blood products/samples for hospital orders. Triages orders by date/time, selects and packs life-saving products with correct temperature-regulating packaging to ensure safe transport, and maintains product records to preserve traceability. Provides support, development, and/or supervisory guidance to volunteers and assumes operational supervisory responsibilities as directed. Interacts with hospital clients, volunteers, and vendors in a positive, proactive, customer-focused manner and participates in training of staff. May perform hospital deliveries and on-call work as required. Standard schedule: Sunday–Thursday 1:00PM-9:30PM; pay $22.23/hour with applicable differentials. Requires ability to train Monday–Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM for ~4–6 weeks. Location: Douglasville, GA; United States.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Four years’ experience in a regulatory, distribution or manufacturing environment
- valid driver’s license
- Good computer skills, attention to detail, accurate documentation, and good decision-making skills
