Job Summary
Lead Behaviour Support Practitioner responsible for developing and implementing individualised behaviour support plans, supervising and mentoring practitioners, supporting recruitment and onboarding, promoting services, engaging with stakeholders through network meetings and visits, and providing training and reflective practice. The role involves completing Functional Behaviour Assessments, lodging Behaviour Support Plans with relevant bodies, reducing risk and restrictive practices, and working within a multi-disciplinary team to improve quality of life for participants with behaviours that may cause harm. Requires a degree in relevant fields, suitability checks, and rights to work in Australia. Hybrid work arrangement available in Geelong, Victoria, Australia.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in Behaviour Support, Psychology, Social Work, Allied Health or other relevant tertiary qualification
- Current suitability confirmed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission – and endorsement at the Proficient or Advanced Practitioner level
- Driver’s license
- National Police Check
- Working with Children’s Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Rights to work in Australia
