Job Summary
Conduct 15-minute safety rounds, monitor patient vitals, and document accurate clinical information in medical records. Provide direct care by assisting with activities of daily living, applying de-escalation techniques, and managing seclusion or restraint when necessary. Engage patients in therapeutic activities, lead group sessions, and coordinate transportation as assigned. Maintain a clean, secure environment while resolving patient complaints and reporting behavioral changes to the nursing team. Adhere to strict work schedules and attend required CPR and restraint certification training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR certification
- De-escalation certification
- Restraint certification
Desired Qualifications
- Six months experience as a BHA1
- Six months or more experience working with the specific population of the facility
